Amateur Call Sign Meaning
Amateur Radio Operator or Ham Radio operator has a unique call sign. Amateur radio is an international hobby that exists for personal communication, experimentation, and public service. The call signs are used to legally identify the station or operator, which is based on the alphabetized regional group list. Since 1927 these have been used to uniquely identify operators and locate amateur stations by ITU. The 26 letters of the English alphabet and ten digits may be used to form call signs, accented letters excluded.

Call Sign Example
